Editing Cohorts

Creating an account

For the purposes of testing, you’ll first need to register for an account on the DPUK Central XNAT instance.  Note that in the final solution this step will be done elsewhere as you’ll use your DPUK program credentials to access the central xnat instance.

Adding cohorts

Once your account on the DPUK Central XNAT instance has been enabled you’ll be able to use them to log on to the hub.  Once on the hub, the first thing to do is to add a cohort which can be done using the Cohort Listings > Add New Cohort menu item which will take you to this screen:

Enter the three fields and click the Save Catalogue Entry button to proceed to the main edit cohort page:

This is quite a long form.   The mandatory fields are highlighted in pink.  If you fill these in and save the catalogue entry then you’ll be able to update the optional entries at another time.  Once you’ve saved the catalogue entry you’ll see the cohort review page which will also be available from a corresponding item in the Cohort listings menu.

Delegating responsibility to colleagues

You can delegate responsibility to maintaining the meta data for the cohort and uploading data freezes by adding additional owners to the project. If you point your browser at the underlying xnat instance you should see your new cohort listed as a project and be able to add an additional owner in the access tab for the project. Having done, your colleague will now have the cohort listed under the cohorts menu item on hub, and will be able to make any changes. This user will also now be able to remove you as an owner via the underlying xnat instance.
